did a little grid math (it says it's 2.5" in diameter) and it looks like 7 feet

but still, jebus. It'd go perfect with my 8ft cellular antenna I use in T6R8 maine
car computer rev 5: 8" lilliput and usual suspects

looks like its mounted on a mast. Look at the U bolt and you can judge size.

It says: 2.5 inch diameter mast - thats a large pole.

Sorry I forgot "like" was probably used with your "Valley Girl" impression in mind....
"Like Totally eight foot....like cool huh?" am I right?

I just picked up all the above links (d-link gear) from best buy.
I went to the d-link web site and found that all of the gear has a firmware upgrade that will allow you to get up to 108mb transfer speed! And it's on sale and I get rebates (probably sometime next year!) All of them have disconnecting antennas for easy upgrades to BIG *** ones!

Does any have any GREAT suggestions for an antenna in the car and for one in the apt.?

Let me know how you like the D-Link gear.

But don't say I didn't warn you. - My freind calls the D-Link setup's the priceclub special cause they always sell D-Link products at places like that.

I'm about to toss my D-Link 704 Printer/Router switch. - It's freezes once a while and even after the firmware upgrade, it still freezes. It was suppose to fix the problem.

Also, I tested repeaters from D-Link the 800+ repeaters/access points. The connection kept dropping in a out and was not reliable at all. Then at a clients house, one of the ports blew out from a electrical storm or something. Took me 2 hours onthe phone with D-Link to replace (RMA) it. I was like it's broken, trust me, I'ma geek. And he still didn't beleive me and I had to get nasty. When I got mean, he spoke to his manager and I got a RMA number finally.

I won't be buying a D-Link product for a while. And that 108 double speed stuff, doesn't seem to work well.

HAha, The DWL-120. I hear you man.
    I had revision I think 2.

The first CD drivers combined with the new program d/l from the website worked better on XP.

I wanna know if anyone has tried the new NetGear USB G wireless.
I know my USB G Linksys doesn't work with windows 98 or something, while the NetGear does. Say's it on the boxes.

I might get a NetGear just to mess around with and do a comparison.

My old DWL-120 worked with NetStumbler for a bit and then didn't. It was buggy with it.
