What kind of USB Wifi adapter do you use?

Name your make/model and why you chose it? Would you recommend it, why or why not? What is good for carPC application in your opinion?

I have the Belkin F5D6050u.

I went for it mainly as I already have a belkin wifi setup in my house and hence figured it was the least likely to cause issues connecting. The other main reason is that is comes with a 1.5m usb lead so meant that the pc can still be hidden away in the boot but the USB wifi module can be placed in a better reception area in the car. Finally the interior of my celica 190 is silver and so is the belkin wifi device

Orinoco USB gold--the only way to fly.

It's basically a proprietary USB->PCMCIA adapter with an orinoco gold slapped in it. You can take the plastic casing off and connect an external antenna.

NETGEAR MA111
very small,

initial setup was *****, i think the drivers that shipped with it were jacked, took a while to get setup right. Updated drivers to latest and havent had a problem with it since.

liquid smoke, how is the range and reception with the MA111 being in the car? Does it work decent for wardriving purposes?

Orinoco Wifi Adapters are great. They have excellent receive sensitivity, work with all popular wardriving software (Kismet, Netstumbler, etc.) and have an external antenna connector. They make USB versions that are perfect for use with car computers. Just crack open the housing and you can access the antenna connector. The USB clients just have a PCMCIA card inside.
