USB2 hub with 12V power supply.

I need a USB hub, but I do not want to put it though the invertor. Is threre anything on the market with 12V connector, so I can hook it directly to the car power.

Are you sure it takes 12V in? Most take 5V in at 2 or 2.5A...Regardless of the input you could get 12V or 5V from your PSU in the computer. Just run the wires.

    Unhappy

I'm looking for the same thing. I'm running a laptop for my carputer so I don't have a source for 5 vdc. I've purchase a car power adapter but it only give 500mA. Need something with more current. Anybody?

Here's what I installed last weekend. Doesn't provide a ton of power-uses a second usb port for additional power. Easy install and solved my problems that I had with unpowered hub.

    Check out this one:
    http://www.monoprices.com/products/p...seq=1&format=2

It has a wall-wart power supply that supplies the hub with 5v DC @ 2.6a. You could wire it to a molex connector and plug it into your PC power supply.
