    Arrow what kinda wattage do i need?

    i'm wanting to run an average ATX board, prob. a Socket7 processor (K6II?), IDE HD, video card, 4" LCD (partsexpress), NIC.
    ---------
    what wattage rating do i need on a DC-DC converter? or will i need on an AC inverter?
    although i'd like the DC-DC, the AC looks cheaper...

    AC cost about half as much, but causes noise in the system. In the long run you'll probably spend less money on the DC-DC than an inverter.
