sorry about that. Anyway i extended the wires from the power switch, they are to short thin wires, and it was by far the easiest wire extension in the entire project.

Well, some computer power supplies have a switch that is either in the ON position or the OFF position (I don't know the technical term). As long as it's in the ON position, you can kill the power to it and then as soon as you send the juice to it, it will fire right back up. Others (like what you seem to have)Don't have an ON/OFF postion.

If you are using an ATX supply, ie. one with a momentary switch for power, there may be an option in your bios to enable power up after power failure. If it's an AT system, then Old El Paso has it right. Just leave the switch on.

If you have an atx board you can wire the two power-on jumpers together. This way whenever power from an external power switch es off to on, like an inverter, the computer boots up.

As for my poweron switches, I plan on wiring the power inverter switch, power-on jumpers, standby jumpers, powerled jumpers, and hard drive led jumpers up to a little control panel hidden in my ashtray. In windowsME you can set the poweron and standby buttons to either, poweroff, hibernate, or standby.. so I plan on using the power-on button to power off and on for when I need to do a fresh reboot and then the standby button to put the computer in hibernation (which is what I plan on pressing most of the time).
