Thanks for all the tips, next project I will do so.

This project didn't use too much bondo at all, so I hope it doesn't crack. If it does crack, I will find vinyl auto wrap for my friend and wrap it and it will look nice.

    My process was as follows:
    40 - 80 Grit for shapping.
    150 grit for finally surfacing.
    Primer
    spot putty
150 grit again for touching up.
    Primer
    used 150
and then 600 grit for polishing ( the primer actually starts to shine)
first & second coat of paint
dried 3FT from halogen light to bake on paint and expedite drying.
    1000 grit
    Final coat.

The monitor is also black and it looks factory.

Where do I start. Look at this picture. The Bondo is the pink stuff. The bondo is like liquid wood that once dry you can sand to your desired shape.

    I'd say 9 hours total.

How about checking with those guys who moved their Lilliput screens into the in-dash housing from digitalww. They should still have their Lilliput housings. I'd sell you mine, but I'm still waiting for Armen to process my order for the in-dash. If he doesn't reply soon, I might have to buy a 7" in-dash LCD from mp3playerstore.com, gut out the original (non-VGA) screen and put in my Lilliput screen.
