    Post Newbie Question

The setup I am planning is a DC/DC Power Supply, motherboard with built in sound, removable hard drive, and an IRMan. The output will hook to my CD changer cable.
    1) What is the most the ACE-865 (65 watt) will power? Can those of you who use it please list everything it's powering.
    2) Will the IRMan work with DOS and MPxPlay?

    Thanks,
    Bonk

    Cool

Don't know about your second question, but I can answer your first.

    My ACE-865 is powering:
-PCChips LMR571 Motherboard (Super Socket 7, onboad Sound/Video/LAN/Modem)
    -Cyrix PR200 (150MHz) CPU
    -32MB 100MHz SDRAM
    -Quantum 10.2Gig Fireball CX HD

The CPU and case fan are ran directly off the car's 12V.

    Cool

bonk: to answer ur first question, YES.

For all my setups, my ACE-865v powers EVERYTHING!.
    My current setup includes
    AMD K6-III 400mhz
sb16 PCI, IR, 45gig WD, DVD rom, AIWP card (video out), GPS (Rand Mcnally), 3 fans, NIC and i think the TFT too. All these are powered by that little puppy. Also when i take the box inside the house or into work, i use the +12v from my PC to power up my box.

bonk for the second question i can answer YES.
you can use the IRMan/UIR in the DOS. You can run the mpxplay with the IRmans TSR for DOS which can be downloaded some where on the web (email me if you need to link i dont remember it of my head) however you can use mpxf front-end (www.radioactivesoft.com/mpxf) for mpxplay which supports IRMan/UIR.
