    Anyone seen this radio?

Has anyone ever seen/tried this radio? It is serial, and is both AM and FM. Looks like it was an older version of the D-Link? They say they have some in stock, but they don't ship to Canada

Cool.... I have been trying to find a AM and FM radio for a computer... it does appear to be old technology.... but maybe somebody here is fimilar with it and can speak highly of it.

The $3.85 adder (for orders under $50 is BS).... but I guess that is life...

Ooh, Windows 3.1 and 95 compatible. Good luck getting that to work with XP. Plus if you have an EPIA you're using up your only serial port.

I don't know about a radio that works under RS-232... if anyone try it and tell me its working clearly, I'm Go.

unless that, I'll wait for the radioshark to come out

or get a digital radio system (DM bands) iferver I can figure what channels are available in my area under DM frequencies...

I just posted it cause I know some people are wanting AM and FM radio....plus you CAN get Windows 95 stuff to work in XP, I have even gotten DOS programs to work with no problems....so I don't think that would be a problem...especially for some of the coders here...

Couldn't this be used w/ the Dlink USB Drivers?? Dont they have RS-2323 -> USB adapters??

And doesnt the Epia have 2 com ports.. 1 on the back panel, and a 2nd one off a header on the mobo?

Good find, someone take the plunge and let us know how it sounds.. I'm still lookin for AM for my car.

RS-232 is only used to give it commands such as tuning, volume, etc. Even with the D-Link USB, the sound output goes to the line-in.

I definately want AM radio in my car... there is a news channel in montreal with weather and road conditions every 9 minutes. Pretty usefull.

anybody tried the RS-232 version, which is going to be less expansive, most likely?

I plan on putting win98 on my carputer anyway, with a ITX mobo, I'll find a way of getting one with at least 2 comports, or put USB comports. BUT I need to know it works before.

    how about digital radios? (DM)
