    Wink shock protection?

    Help

I have problems with songs skipping at times when i go over bumps in the road... How do I stop this? i use winamp and have 32mb ram with a very old HD. I don't have any physical shock protection on the computer or HD...

Any suggestions software or physical shock protection?

    Cheers

I use three rubber grommits to hang my hard drive from. But I also stream lots of the MP3 file into memory, so I don't rely too much on data coming from the disk - in fact the current incarnation of software I'm using has up to two songs in memory at once.

I got the grommits from Maplin (in the UK).

I have 128Mb in my system (with a P233 MMX).
I don't use WinAmp, I use my own software, running under DOS.

On my web page, on the picture of the inside of my MP3 box, you can see the grommits between the 2.5" drive and the stripboard. Check my web page for more details : http://www.nav.to/robwithey
