After a small shock while driving, my carputer stops working. I know it isn't a matter of PSU (I 've replaced my sproggy psu by an AC psu plugged to the outlet at home). There is no startup BEEP no BIOS loaded, nothing...
What may be the problem, any advice please.(I have also replaced the graphic card without result)
PS: the red and green leds of the mother board are lighting normally.

The LEDS mean simply that the motherboard is receiving power, and may be routing it normally, which speaks well of its health, but you may have a fried processor. The only things that normally prevent a mobo from POSTing are the processor and the motherboard itself.Originally Posted by Eddy25

Either way, do the fork thing.
It was a physical shock (small drop) . I don't think it's the HDD because in that case the BIOS would continue to be loaded.I'll chek the processor.

A small drop could have simply dislodged a memory stick or the processor itself. In this case, simply re-seating the processor may fix your problem entirely!

I fixed it by replacing (guess what) the IDE cable between the HDD and the MOBO by a new one and everything is working again.
(This may help someone one day).
