    Post Remote freezes when cold

does anyone else's remote not work when it gets cold outside. Its like 30C outside right now and when i go out to my car, the GE remote (about 1 yr old) i have just blinks when i press the buttons. This happened last winter to me also. As i warm it up (takes like 10 min), then it works. There is a button confirmation light that lights up when i press a button on it, and when its cold it is very short. I dont know if that might help. Can anyone help??

    RaZor,

it's not the remote that freezes, but it's batteries. Try replacing them with new ones or take it with you at home during the night.

    Cool

Yep, it's the batteries. Taking it in at night is a solution, but you can also buy temperature compensated batteries from most industrial supply houses. Much more expensive, but you'll be glad you did the first time you forget to take the remote into your house at night...
