Relocating headunit and extending faceplate somewhere else.

I did this for my friends setup. I used two Cat5 cables with couplers.

That's a cool way to do that! That must have been a pain in the @$$ because of how many wires you had to solder though. Good creative job though :)

yeah im gonna be doin it asap cause my headunit is in me glove box, and its a fair reach to push any buttons.

What kind of soldering iron did you use? DId you need to do anything more than just match up the pins?

I used a radio shack 15 watt grounded soldering iron.

I didn't do anything except verify the pins went to the correct spots.
