Which DVD-ROM would you guys recommend?

I was wondering what DVD-ROM you guys would recommend me.

    Price is VERY important
If it is tray/slot in isnít as important
    Power consumption is important.

If I place my carputer in the back of the car how would I then place it in my dash ? Can IDE cables be VERY long or do I need a USB2/Firewire interface on my DVD-ROM ?

Edit: I forgot to say that I preferably want a slim DVD-ROM

    Thanks for all feedback.

I like the Pioneer 106s I just bought.
    Slot load, 16x DVD, ata/66.

Grabbed it off ebay for like $25 shipped. I plan on getting a USB to IDE adaptor to wire it from my dash to my trunk with just a USB cable.

Dunno bout power consumption yet, I havent hooked it up yet.... I'm waiting on my screen from Digital WW to put it all together :-P

The official specs forbid anything longer than that, but success with IDE cables of up to 15 feet have been reported here.
