Thread: Epia M10000 VGA problems

    OK back to square 1, i installed the 4 and 1 update...then tried updating the driver. It went through the setup rebooted and now im getting the no vga signal again. Is there anything i can do instead of fresh install to get back vga signal?

    Also I have already tried to hook up other monitors and they get no signals whatsoever.

    go to safe mode and try to install the driver with the "update driver" no with the installshield.

    Also do you have another memory module that you can try??

    This happened to my once (with a biostar) and it end being the memory stick uncapable of sharing memory to the video.

    Also would getting some type of video card eliminate this problem?

    sure!! because you prob is with the build-in video... and the drivers

    Edit:

    The pic shows what you supouse to have...

    You can either go trhu "update driver" in the device manager or stick the files in the right folder to make it work.

    what BIOS ver. do you have, is it 1.16 if not try updating it. (at you own risk did mine no problem.)

    I have bios revision 1.0f, I tried updated to the new version with vga. But i get, Bios image file doesnt fit mainboard.

    1. Statement of Purpose



    Purpose: The purpose of this document is to explain the complete process for returning defective product to the manufacturer using the VIA Technologies Inc. facilities in Fremont, CA as the RMA fulfillment location.





    2. Statement of Warranty



    1) Warranty

    1. VIA Technologies Inc. facility in Fremont, CA will process returns for manufacturers according to the terms and conditions of manufacturer’s warranty statement.



    2. A three-year limited warranty from the date of purchase will be provided by VIA Technologies to its customers in the United States of America. If the product becomes defective during normal use, VIA will replace, with product of equal or greater quality, or repair the product for a period of one year at no charge to VIA Technologies’ customers. In the 2nd and 3rd year of service VIA Technologies Inc. will charge $16/board/incident plus component fee.

    3. Out of warranty repair charge: $30/board/incident plus component fee.



    2) Warranty Period

    1. For motherboard -The warranty date will be determined by the manufacturing date affixed to the motherboard by the manufacturer in the form of a bar code or other method of manufacturing date registration. The three-year warranty does not cover shipping costs incurred by the customer but return shipment to the customer will be paid for by VIA Technologies Inc.

    2. For CPU - Retail CPU provides three-year warranty, and Tray CPU provides one-year warranty.



    3) Dead On Arrival (DOA) Products

    1. Any product that is DOA (Dead On Arrival) must be returned within 30 days from VIA related product’s invoice date at which time it will be handled as a RFC (return for credit). Any DOA part received after 30 days from the invoice date will be treated as any other return under the three-year warranty service plan. A DOA product cannot be returned without obtaining an RMA number and it must be returned within 10 days of receiving that RMA number.





    4) Returning Product

    1. VIA Technologies’ customers will return the product in the original box or boxes with all supporting documentation, software, cables and all other accessories associated with the original shipment of the product. Refer to the return procedures below for how to obtain an RMA number.





    5) Warranty Limitations

    1. Any VIA Technologies’ product that has been mishandled, abused, modified or altered, neglected, improperly integrated, experienced serial number defacement or catastrophe will not be covered under this warranty.

    1) RMA contact method is stated below.

    1. Prior to RMA# Application, the RMA must be verified.

    2. For RMA- Business Issue, please contact Sales Department.

    3. For RMA- Quality Issue, please contact Technical Support to get a CASE ID by calling 510-687-5772.

    4. For RMA# Application, please log on www.viaembedded.com to request a RMA #.

    5. Once the RMA has been authorized by receiving an RMA number the product is to be shipped to:
