It is basically a GPS antenna, but the "mouse" ones look like a PC mouse. Small, with a wire coming out the end, hence they're called a mouse

What is a GPS Mouse? Is it the same as a GPS Antenna? I've just never heard the term before, and can't find a good definition searching.
Thx.![]()

i just bought one off of ebay for $50. Plug it into the carputer/laptop, open up a mapping program (mappoint/routis) and your away, nothing else needed.

So are GPS antenna's (not the mouse versions) a lot larger? Maybe I have always seen the 'mouse' ones then because they all look like the same size to me (the ones made for PC's anyways)Originally Posted by Confused
Thanks for the input! Always appreciated.
The GPS mouse is really a receiver and has an internal antenna. You can also get external antennas for GPS receivers that accept them. Most of the mice don't.
