im in the designing mode of my car pc right now and am looking for some suggestion.
To my knowledge, the epia MII 1000 mobo has one pci slot that can be converted to into two by the adaptors found at caseoutlet.com.
I have right now on hand at my disposal, an ati tv wonder tv card, leadtek winfast TV2000XP tv card, ati radeon 7500 pci video card, and creative audigy(not 2 or zs) sound card.
This setup is gonna be connected to my stereo through an auxillary input on my Pioneer DEH-940MP cd player.
I am definatly having tv in my car, so which tv card should i go with?
Also, which of the two is the weekest link of the onboard epia components, sound or video? and which should i replace with one of the replacement parts i have?
Thanks, (hope this all is understandable)
i also have another question
is it possible for when using music such as mp3's and cd's i send the signal through the head unit, but for watchin movies, send the audio signal strait to my Amp (precision power 4x125) .
If it this is possible, then i would be able to use the equalizers and the fade controls for the music, and then use 4.1 sound for movies.
also, if i use the aux input on my cd deck, will the incomming signal from my computer be 2.1 or 2.0. The reason i ask is because, if hte incoming signal is 2.0 theres no point since i will missing all the subwoofer frequencys and just be getting the left and right signals.
1) I use onboard everything with my M9000, and I'm happy with it, so it's your choice.
2) You'd either need some sort of input/output switcher, or if your amp does decoding, use the stereo out to your hu and then a toslink or likewise connection to your amp.
3) Knowning nothing about your cd deck, I'll assume its a simple right/left aux in, in which case itd be 2.0.

crap, since the aux input is gona be 2.0, im not gonna go that way.
Would this work fine for all the connection.
if i hookup an rca splitter type thing at the input of my amps. Then i connect the output from myhead unit (Front, Rear, Sub) into one set of inputs on hte splitter, and then conncect the soundcard outputs to the other set of inputs on the splitter.
IF it is hooked up this way:
1. will i still be able to get the voiced gps directions from the computer if im using the headunit as the source, or will it just give me a bunch of static if i get input from both sources at once?
2. will this setup hurt soundquality of the music?
thanks
