    USB audio

    onboard sound sucks, obviously, and i was wondering if anyone was having luck with low end USB sound output. i dont mean external soundcards, basicaly something like this adapter i got an add for in my Email.

    that still uses your sound card to prosses the sound. then its routed digitaly threw the USB. and it converts it to analog. so if the prossesing of your onboard is what sucks... it wont help.. if its just the D/A convertion. that will

    That device doesn't use you sound card as it IS the sound device. Depending on what you have currently as your onboard this device will most likely improve the quality. This is considered an external sound card. It's not the best and for the same price you can get beter quality out of an M-Audio Sonica or something similar.
