building a mini-itx system is exactly the same as building a regular system, but smaller. for the mini-itx, (and many new motherboards), just add memory, a hard drive, and power, and you are ready to go. if you are not familiar with building computers, you should look into it, it is pretty basic after some research, and can turn out very benificial. you will get a system for much less money than you would pay for a prebuilt system, it will have what you want and not a bunch of unneeded junk, it will be much smaller (if you go mini-itx) and you will learn what is in a computer, so you can better understand what is happening when somthing goes wrong. hope i helped, good luck.
