If I get the upgrade to Windows XP will I be able to put it on both my home and car PC's?
Also, home or professional?

As he said legally you cannot put it on both. Also use professional, home is really very bad and is only acceptable if your a total newbie to computers.

The retail XP versions require product activation. This process is to prevent you from installing it more than once. As the other posters mentioned, there are ways around it, but none of them are legal.
f*** Microsoft, put it on as many computers as you can...just my .02
Each license supplied with Windows XP requires activation. Once it is activated, it is locked onto the PC you activated it on. Windows XP Corporate edition is an exception.
Yes, but to get a volume licsense which is what companies do it costs... alotOriginally Posted by P4_2.66GHz

Just call up the activation hotline and speak to a representative and tell them you had to reinstall it due to some bull excuse and they will give you an activation code, no big deal.
