    M10000n Box

Does the M10000 Nehemiah come in a blue box or a green box. I got a box that says M10000 but its in a green box. But most of the m10000N i see in the market are in a blue box. Did i get the wrong one??

Mine came in a green box. CPU has a fan instead of just a heatsink, and the BIOS utils indicate it's a Nehemiah.

How can you tell if it is Nehemiah or not by looking at it? Does the Nehemiah come with fan and the none Nehemiah come with heat sink?

My M10000 ezra came in a blue box and the heatsink has a fan. Grrr.. I really wanted a Nehemiah, but it's not like I paid for one and didn't get it... *shrug*

It gets hot here though and the ezra runs a little cooler, so I don't guess it came out all that bad for me ...

I believe the Nehemiah boards claim to be revision 1.0A on the BIOS boot screen, but if you really want to be sure, you can right click the "My computer" icon in XP and go to properties and see it. XP correctly identifies the chip as either Ezra or Nehemiah, I understand.

'cat /proc/cpuinfo' in Linux also correctly identifies the chip.

I think it's fscking ridiculous that VIA releases two different products with the same name. I can cope with the fact that there are M10000 boards with slightly different features (ie some have LVDS, etc.) but to release them with different CPU's is stupid.. They should have made a distinction .. ie M10000 and N100000 or something

By what hanzacra wrote it seems that the Nehemiah has a fan with a heatsink and the non Nehemiah has just a heatsink. So if thats true then gork you got a Nehemiah and so did gospeed. Correct me if I am wrong.

I have an M10000 Ezra. It has a fan on the CPU heatsink. I am 100% positive on both of these items.

I would not recommend relying on the box color to tell them apart. Those companies will switch the design based on what ink is cheaper! (seriously)
