ok .. i have a PIC-an-LCD module .. from bgmicro .. to it, i have now attached a 2x40 lcd also from them... i think something in the soldering has gone wrong but the contrast on the lcd is extremely low .. and it's not the potentiometer on the board either.. all the voltages seem correct.. i measured correct voltages from all the pins and also, when i put the standard 2x20 module onto the board, it works fine.. what in the world can be the problem?... does anyone have any info on electrically testing and troubleshooting LCD's? (i do have a pretty good DMM that lets me measure anything from resistance and voltage to amps and frequencies)
thanks
