plexi + metal
I'm aproaching that time in my project. The interior components are reaching completion and there are only a couple more wires to run. Now im coming to the actual computer. I'm definatly going to mount it in the trunk and probably behind one of the wheel wells so it dosn't invade the trunk all too much. I was wondering how you guys have done this. Looking more for stylistic things than howtoos. I'm pretty decent with fiberglass and i was thinking of making a box or.. someting that would fill that area giving me space for my atx board with a couple full hight cards, Opus PSU and maybe my 4 channel amp. The amp isn't all that big and i don't necessarily need to intigrate it but we will see. So what do you guys have in your trunks? Im not interested in the floating case or milk crate models. I want to see some well done inclosures for a little inspiration. Thanks!!

Looks like new... Wanna know why they call me "Crash"?
How about this, my full size ATX mobo and Gefroce 4 video card installed in an old cd shuttle housing, inside space of case 29.8 mm mobo length 29.5 so a bit of a tight fit
just awaiting the lilliputt and decision on power either opus or masteros power supply and then a sound blaster extigy
heh... i love audio guys. nice clean installs that leave them a completly useless trunk. Don't get me wrong it looks grate and its obvious you put alot of time and work into it however i use my trunk. A setup like that would last all of a month in my car. between climbing equipment computer equipment(work in it) and all the other **** that ends up back there everything would get beat to crap. Thanks guys keep them coming.
I am working on the second phase of my install and cleaning up the trunk area is one of the things I am taking on. My goal is having a fairly usable and clean looking trunk, having plenty of dedicated room for the carpc stuff, and having easy access to the cabling, etc. Access to the cabling, etc. is easy when you fold the back seats down. Here's a preview picture to show you where I'm going:
I hate all you people who have so much room to work with. Uh actually I do too, but my fiance's wheelchair goes in the trunk. Hopefull all this physical therapy and surgery will mean she will be able to walk soon.
