    Slot load DVD drive?

I googled and I googled and I can't google anymore. I cannot find a slimline slotloading DVD drive without CDRW capabilities. Does it even exist?

Also do those slimlines have audio connectors?

when you add on the ide adaptor, they will have a cd-rom looking audio jack, a 4 pin conector for power, and the ide itself. The drive as it is sold will just have the laptop ide connector which contains all of these, but all in one connector.

Ok but that still does not answer the original question, where do I get one, thats
    1) slimline
    2) slot-loader
    3) DVD-ROM/CD-ROM (no CDRW, DVD-/+RW, nothing fancy)

    Thanks

Here are a couple of links....

    CD-Rom Slim Slot load used $20 http://www.axiontech.com/prdt.php?src=FG&item=58146

Here is a link for the same one on eBay, so you can see better pics. It seems to have an odd faceplate to it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=4120973562

    DVD/CD-RW $140

I couldnt find any that were "just" dvd that were a decent price. This one that is a combo was cheaper.

I bought a similar (feature wise, NOT a slot load though) one off eBay for $80 a year ago...and usually they go for more. I would say $140 is a pretty good price for that spec. Dont forget to search for the adaptor if you dont already have it. Its useless without. I havent seen the back side to see connector orientation, but some are upside down, and that may create issues with the adaptor. Might do some research on the drive by googling the part number and looking at pics of the back.

I have this drive. It is a good drive. 140 is about the cheapest i have seen for a slimline, slotload cdrw/dvd.

I have looked aswell to find just a CD/DVD slim slot drive. No luck. Post if you do find

    Cheers
