Well apart from turning my post into a My Country is Better Than Yours crap, I'm starting to love this thread too!
But off the record, when you said that you will integrate all those security systems weight, height, thumbprint and other failsafe methods, that's finally a great idea out in the open. See I knew you could profit from the criticism.
Btw, I wasnt lying when I said almost 50% of the class was about my weight. They werent my height, but I think about 7-80% of the women alone were my weight. Yea I was skinny then. Perhaps it also depends on the courses you take. Not every class had 50% of the students that was my weight class.
And did you really expect me to write down the model numbers of every fingerprint scanner that worked? Alternatively I'd rather write down the ones that worked.

That Pigeon Hole thing you brought up reminds me of something else we learned in Statistics back in High School, senior year.
We calculated how many people you'd need to gather before you could be practically sure that at least 2 of them had the same birthday. Believe it or not, we had more people than necessary in our class... and it wasn't a big class. Consequently, it turned out that someone in the class had the exact same birthday as me. :P
Yeah we had that too, we had everybody starting from the back row to shout out their birthdays and keep going until someone else shouts a birthday exactly as what was already shouted. I didnt even get a turn to shout out mine =(

Uhhhh if you're going to do all of that why not just hire a security guard for your car? Probably less expensive, and a lot less work. Let's just admit that the weight thing was a bad idea and go more with the one that was better. If you have a fingerprint scanner you aren't going to need something that checks your weight. Your fingerprints are unique. The weight thing, like I explained above just isn't going to work by itself. So just go with the fingerprint thing and let's drop the weight thing.Originally Posted by bubbrubb

Uhhh as long as you feel good about that. I know bullets are a lot faster then your car. In the case that he didn't have a weopon and just wanted to pounce on me with his two fists chances are, I'm a gonner. My car isn't very fastOriginally Posted by bubbrubb

Dude, let's just ease down on the defensiveness. You have a lot of anger stored up in you. If you have low self esteem or something take it out somewhere else, please. If people shoot down some of your ideas, just go for the ones that are most plausible. You have a few ideas that could be done if you worked at them enough.

You know, if you're really concerned about security, there's systems you can buy that have a small keypad that you mount somewhere, and you have to enter a PIN to unlock the starter. A ricer I know actually had this in his car, and although I couldn't hear anything he was saying cause of his as-loud-as-the-apocalypse exhaust, the keypad definitely looked cool. You can also see this at work in the opening sequence of the movie "The Transporter".Originally Posted by bubbrubb

All in all, it's best to avoid confrontations. Statistically speaking, most police officers (practically all State Police) get killed during routine traffic stops. You never know who you might **** off out there.Hah, im not afraid of some loser trying to kick my ***....but if they had a gun or something, believe imma get back in my car and smash the gas!
Actualy, that would work in your car. The bars prevent your chasis from twisting by distributing the stress throughout the car... but the car and everything in it still feels the G force. That's why it's so fun to drive really fast in cars that are hooked up... at fast turns you still feel the Gs, but retain better control of the car cause of the stabilizing bars. So if you can work out the mechanics of it, you could put merc switches in your own car.Whoa, thats a great solution, but im still not sure how well it would work in my car. See, i have eibach sportline springs on my car, and am in the market for rear sway bars. So im not sure if i will produce enough G's in one direction to effectly use it without making really hard turns. but still, that is a great solution, and i honestly never even thought about something like that.
Though personally, this seems harder than just having the things come on automaticaly with a switch, or with the headlights.
Yah, remote starters are specificaly advertised as being "for AUTOMATIC VEHICLES ONLY." But, I was thinking, why not just wire up a circuit that intercepts the remote start and checks to see if the car's in gear? If it's not in gear, remote starter signal goes through.. otherwise no start.oh and as for the remote start thing, i have a clifford alarm, and i know remote start is a addon package for it. I just didnt want to get it installed because i have a 5sp manual car, and im scared of burning my clutch out from having it in first gear and starting it. But, i still have 4 or 5 (cant remeber exactly how many) Aux inputs left for anything i want hooked up to my alarm. So i could have the carputer hooked up to one of them, and turn it on with the alarm keychain.
Of course, that's kinda useless if you always leave your car in gear, which most people usually do.![]()
