That's because I didn't link a review. I just linked the battery (off the wall ideas), and bubbrubb later made reference to a review on the same page.

Scroll down to the testimonials and you'll find the one about the guy talking about his 800watt system.

There was an article in the paper a few weeks back about some guy that bought a red visor light and was pulling people over and giving them tickets. Then he pulled over an off-duty cop, and got arrested.

And yah man, I've done stuff like that. I'm an EMT, so I have actual lights/siren on my car. One time some guy cut me off, so I "pulled him over" and in my PA system told him to "exit the vehicle, put your hands on the hood, and wait until another car arrives to deal with you" and then we drove off. It was hilarious, but I wouldn't do it again. That is impersonating an officer AND abuse of privilege... a big no-no.
nah, nothing happened, he flashed his badge but he looked pretty ****ed...if he had been in his cruiser, i'm sure i woulda come out with a ticket, and possibly a ride downtown too.

i used to do it all the time to the people in my neighborhood..i always end up behind some soccer mom taking her sweet time when i have somewhere to be..or when i don't.

the first thing i did when i got the box was head up to the pool to play the songs...the kids all thought i was the ice cream man and the pool totally emptied...haha i know that's ******* but whatever

i thought it'd be cool to have one of those visor lights in like 4th grade, they used to sell them at a gag store in the mall, but once i got my car i thought it was just a good way of getting in trouble...i figured if it came down to it, i could just deny that someone heard a siren, then invite them to swear out a warrant to look in my car for the box, while in the meantime i popped it right out.

that's pretty funny about leaving the guy there out of his car, but like you said stuff like that is funny like once but every time after that is just more of chance of someone getting hurt (or caught)...unfortunately my little novelty item didn't have nearly the same output of the horn on your car...mine is the same horn you'd put in for an alarm, just hooked up to a different device

Hehe.. I use my lights now and then to pass people in traffic if they're going real slow. One time, I went for 2 hours on the NY Thruway @ 100mph with my lights on the whole time. I actually passed a cop, and he didn't go after me.

    I drive a Grand Marquis, btw. =P

But still, I'd think that he'd try to see who I am via radio or something... but nope, he didn't say a word.

    my 2 sense

okay -- this guy's ideas are all doable, in my opinion, but why?

create what you think you will use most, stuff that will help make the ride bearable, and invest the rest.

Let's take a look at two people:

Person 1 invests $1000 each year for ten years and earns compounded interest of 10% each year - after the first ten years, he never invests another penny and just 'sits on it' for the next 45 years - his total retirement is $1,466,914.42

Person 2 invests $1000 each year from age 30 til 65 - his total retirement is $326,229.24

Person 2 invests 3.5 times longer (and 3.5 times more money) than person 1 but ends up with less than a third of what person one gets.

I'd rather have money to eat on later than some speaker to yell at the person driving behind me now.

    just my $.02

Hehe -- then write down his license plate # and get a DMV printout. Double check that he is at the same address every couple years or so, then hire a hitman to whack him once you have your millions

I was just thinking today about how I'd make a very good hitman.
