Well I mounted my player in the glove compartment and it uses a Cyrix MediaGX200 ( pretty low power, low heat component ). However, I don't have AC and it's pretty hot here in Jersey so if it's sunny and above 85, the player will start to skip and then crash after about an hour. If I park my car in direct sunlight, it will crash within minutes. I'm adding 3 case fans to move the air around a bit better and hopefully that should fix it, but YES heat can be a problem

I live in FLorida and will be installing my player tomorrow. Someone gave em a p-75 so Ill see how it goes. THe chip gets hot on its own but I dont know how everything else(the LCD is very temp. sensitive) will hold up to 6 hours in 130+ degree heat
