Thread: How can I make Aux with Addzest(Clarion) DRX9375(C-BUS Type)???

Some Clarions have a switch on the bottom of the stereo to make one set of the RCA pre-outs an input. Take a look at the bottom of your stereo and see if yours can do that. It would be a lot easier that way than trying to go in through the CD Changer input.

i have 3 paires of preout RCAs
front, rear, and subwoofer..

i will chekc that first..

and if there is way to use C-BUS, and amp. connection, let me know..

It has 3 outs because it doesn't have an amp. in it? does it ? (an passive headunit)

This HU doesn't have the switch on the bottom.. (at least, the one I looked at didn't have one.. )

Maybe you could do it by connecting it to the external-EQ connector it has...

I looked at this unit too, but found it to difficult to get an AUX-IN.

YEs, it has 3 RCAs because it doesn't have amp. in it..
i didn't open my HU in my car so i am not sure whether it has switch in it or not(as far as i remember, there is no switch.)

mmm.. Using Ex. EQ.
there is Ex. EQ. Connector, but i have no Idea how to use..

Helloman, I am afraid that you have to purchase a special Clarion adapter which costs around 120-150 dollars. That’s what the guy at Audio King told me. I am not quite sure if his statement is true and honest. The problem is that you probably don’t have an internal amp. This adapter won’t even work for your system if this is a case.

As far as I know, Clarion, Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, and some other hi-end models are widely employing BUS-type control systems so that you have some flexibility of adding new modules. Only few units have real RCA-type connectors. That’s why I decided not to purchase Clarion, Pioneer, or Alpine because of these pricey add-on gadgets.

I have found that the adapter can be used to use AUX input if it has CeNet .
but mine is C-BUS so i cannot use adapter and as far as I know, there is no adapter for C-BUS.

by reserch, I found that there is no way to make AUX for these Clarion HU with C-BUS

BUT, i found that if i add multi media switcher box for Clarion C-BUS, then i can have AUX input
usually multi media swithcer box has 4 RCA input of Audio and Video.
then I can hook up my mp3 computer.. right?

but the problem is price.
new one is about 300 bucks.
haha.. i can buy new HU with 300 bucks. right?

if i can find cheaper switcher(less than 100, probably $50), then i will buy one
otherwise, i have to make switch of input for my Ex. Amp at the trunk.

This is my conclusion... mmmm sad.. though.

By the way, if anyone has been done to make AUX for Clarion with C-BUS, or have idea to make AUX,
let me know
