I am currently using a cappuccino pc in my glove compartment and its kind of a pain to open it everytime to shut it down. Could anyone tell me any easy way to install a remote power switch? I have put a meter across various pins and they all seem to be shorted together. (Works Fine Still)
I could run a wire extension of the whole unit and continue to use the same button but that would be a little extreme. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I would have to see the back of the circuit board to be sure, but it looks like you can either use the jumpers I labeled ONE to TWO or TWO to THREE. Hook wires up to those holes and when you touch the ends together (like in a SPST momentary switch) it becomes your power switch.
Bottom line is you need to figure out what wires go directly to SW1.
The bottom picture the shows the connector on the mini pcb actually is the back of the circuit board. Thats my dilema. Everything seems shorted to everything.
For anyone else wanting to do this you just have to momentarily short the green and yellow wires. I installed a push button switch. Thanks DodgeCummins.
