Try shorting out the CMOS, the BIOS sometimes gets garbled in transit
I recently built out a computer with the EPIA M10000. Everything is setup correctly - I plugged in the ATX power supply - hit the switch to turn it on... all that happens is the CPU fan spins and the power led lights up. No signal to the monitor, mouse or keyboard. Is there a setting / pin that I am just missing to get this thing moving ? Any help is appreciated.![]()

I gave that a shot - I shorted out pins 1 & 2 - but now nothing - the fan won't spin, no led. I put it back in place and it will power up the same as before - fan and led only. am I doing something wrong ?
I've got two of these boards and I had a similar problem with the first one, I managed to short it on the case I was building and then I had the same fault. I tried all the normal things and then put it aside while i went to bash my head on the wall. Tried it again a couple of days later and it worked OK (?)
PS, what is the PSU wattage, and what else have you got plugged in?
....Yes, I know it has a stupid name, those crazy Japanese!
Here is the scoop! I talked to VIA and Ituner where I bought the motherboard. VIA says that the MOBO is messed up. They had me pull the memory out of it and start it up. Since it didn't beep, they said it is most likely busted. - Just a bummer - I am all excited to get this project moving.
are you using tv or monitor?

Don't you just hate it when yhat happens!!

Yeah, TOTALLY SUCKS! I am questioning whether I should RMA it - or just return it and go buy another mobo at Fry's and order the psu online.... Hmmmm... Decisions, Decisions. Thanks for the help ! ! !![]()
