    Post Bios update 586LMR

    Just to let arron know there is a bios update fot the M586LMR .. 05/14/2001 Fixes a bug in the BIOS that prevents Cyrix MII CPUs from working.

    Aaron had mentioned that he had used this board and that it would not support cyrix processors so I thought I would let him know...... Just trying to help out....

    Cyrix cpu's are CRAP, i hate to say it but their reputation speaks for it self.

    jssaggie, thanks for letting me know. However, I had unfortunately already tried that update, and it didn't fix the problem.

    Charles Enwesi, Cyrix CPUs are not crap. Nowadays they are cheap and plentiful, and perfectly suited for lower speed applications like MP3 players. I wouldn't put on in an ultimate game machine, but that doesn't mean they are crap. In fact, my webserver (the one running aaroncake.net and lqforum.com) is running a Cyrix 166+, and I have never had any problems. And it certainly handles the traffic.
