Hard Disk Problems

Hi there,

I am just in the process of setting up my car pc, but i cant get my m10k to reconise the laptop hdd. I am using an ide converter i got off ebay.

Any suggestions?

Are you sure you lined up Pin1 to mobo, PIn1 to converter and wire 1 (red) on IDE cable?

I have now tried two seperate hard drives, and 2 different converters, and I'm fairly certain I got the pins lined up properly, I have no idea why it doesn't work.

A standard dvd drive, however, does work.

Any suggestions
