Thumbs up MP3 Car Without a Case

    Here's what I'm thinking:
I have a sub box in my trunk. So how about, instead of making a box and stuff, why not screw all the components to the sub? No case needed. What do ya reckon?

Also, I have a question. I want to put together sproggy's power supply, but I can't figure out 1 thing. Where the output voltages go. Yes, I saw that on the mboard diagram it shows where the +5 -5 +12 -12 goes. But there are a number of each voltage inputs, and the number that the power supply supplies, doesn't match the number that the mobo seems to need. Also, how do you power the hard disk or a CD-rom? Do you just tap the 12v line?
    Thanks for your help.

Generally, screwing components onto a sub is not recomended. Subs vibrate a lot, and over time, the components would be damaged. I would recommend all of you not to screw either computers, amplifiers, or other fine electronics to subs.

    Unhappy

    Now you've got me worried!
Originally I was going to make a case and put it next to the sub box. It's a JayCar (if you live in Australia you'll know) sub, which apparantly (according to JayCar) has a very large magnet. My question now is, how far away do the components (especially the HDD) need to be from the sub.
    Thanks.
