hi,
this comes after two year hiatus... well, i have car that does not come with a builtin stereo or speakers, nor any setup/facility for its installation... its Suzuki Mehran... i think the only car in the world that does have a sound system in it... anyways, i recently bought cd system to install in my car... now my main trouble is how and where to install and do all the wiring for my speaker... i can take out power from the cigarette lighter... now i have few options.... install a board at back to support speakers right above the CNG cylinder... this will cost and im mainly concerned about the holes srilled to support, get the speaker wirking pay lot of labout and do it the normal way... however, i am considering the option of a spare 2.1 Harmon Kardon 28W that i have... it also requires some modifications....
i. the speakers have builtin amp which run on normal 110 or 220 volts but the amp runs on 12 Volts.... can i connect amp directly to car's power or should convert to 220 V first? does it raise fire hazard?????? safety first
ii. or i can buy two reasonable sized 2 way (4 Ohm) speaker system in woodem case and connect direct to CD System... can i,
or suggest a solution please.... i dont need any high class/quality audio in my car.... just the reasonable sound that keeps the space and does not alter any thing....
