The 1500+ will run $65 or so, the 1750 will run $55, and no that isn't a typo, the faster one is cheaper, probably due to higher power usage for slightly higher speed.
1Ghz CPU that will beable to run fanless and only 6W... sounds perfect, absolutely perfect. And it's even same socket as XPs.. so hopefully current motherboards will run it...

My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.

thats cool, but what boards will run it? Or does that come with a board?
Socket A... same as normal AMD boards, tho who knows if it will run on current boards since the voltage will likely be lower, so well see. But current chipsets and boards will work, they may just need to be update the support the lower voltage.Originally Posted by NovaKane

Sweet find. I'll be interested to see how it compares to other CPUs.![]()
My 1ghz C3 isn't fast enough to play the latest xvid movies floating around. I hope this CPU is faster so I can use it in my htpc, because, Mr. htpc MUST be absolutely silent.
Found this over on mini-itx.com.
