    Anyone using ATI AIW video card?

    Just wondering if anyone is using the ATI All-In-Wonder video card and what your experience is with this piece of hardware. I recently purchased the 9600XT and I have noticed two things;

    1) I hooked up the FM radio antenna and I got pretty poor reception. Anyone had any luck with this? (I sure hope so, I was counting on this feature).

    2) Interestingly, when I tried the card's TV function while hooked up to my Lilliput, the screen went totally black. So, on my system there is a conflict between TV and Lilli screen.

    On a final note, has anyone found a good FM antenna amplifier - I am looking. Thanks in advance.

    I have an ATI AIW 8500DV.

    1) Unfortunately, I don't have FM in this unit.

    2) Need more information on this. I have a Xenarc. Are you hooking up the composite-out of the AIW to the Lilliput or thru the VGA?

    As for FM antennas, best thing to do is if your car has an FM antenna, to hack it up and put it into the AIW.

    You should definately run it through VGA, composite will give you a very blurred image as compared to VGA. Just give it a shot on your TV and you will see what i mean. Besides, if you want to do it through composites, why not just get a cheap lcd that's widely available on ebay for a little over a $100, throw a touchkit on it and you're done. The whole point behind bying Xenarc's/Lilliput's is the VGA input.

    And yes, just tap into your car antenna.

    on all ATI AIW's the composite output is probably defaulted to be primary display and therefor only shows the video image (because overlay only works one screen) on the composite screen, download the latest drivers and make sure under the display tab in the display properties that the VGA is set as the primary display. and if it is.... are you sure you have all of the codecs you need installed?
