You can use SB's External USB sound card... That has a volume control on it.
I'm going right from the PC to an amp. What can i use for a volume control? Ghetto style is preffered, I can fab and solder. I know I can control the volume in Windows, but a knob or slider would be much easier.

that's too expensive and too big and ugly for me. I'm thinking more along the lines of ripping a potentiometer out of an old radio and making something myself.
