    MP3 Decoder Board

Was wondering if anyone has one of these or has more info on this card (software for control, etc)?

    Thanks in advance!

The guy was pretty helpful when I e-mailed him. He even sent me a file with all of the card's I/Os. Unfortunately, I lost the file, but he'd probably send it to you if you begged enough. The only thing that kept me from buying the card was the lack of EQ support and the lack of visualization. The only real way to overcome this would be to run the audio from the card to the line in of a sound card and get a mixer that will make WinAMP take input from the line in.

I wonder if it is possible to program a plugin for winamp for this card? I don't see any reason why not?

Yeah, I imagine it would be pretty easy.. you get some jukebox software and the full source code for it when you buy the card. I really encourage someone to get one of these and see what they can do with it, so long as they aren't intent on having cool EQ or vis functions. I was wondering how difficult it would be to do what I said in my other post -- feed the sound from the MP3 decoder card into a sound card and apply EQ from there.. I know you can do visualization from the line in (at least with the mixer that came with my SB AudioPCI 64D), but how difficult would it be to apply EQ changes to incoming sound and spit it back out more or less realtime?

Well he is backordered until Oct 15th. I will try and get an order in and see how quickly I get one and let you know how it works!
