    How fast does YOUR system boot?

    Hi all
    Wondering about how fast various car systems go from being switched on to playing first song. Please note what cpu, software etc you are using. Thanks.
    Honda CRX. Custom enclosure.
    Supermicro SED MB (Onboard sound and TV-out). Celeron 700. 64mb ram.
    40 GB Seagate HDD on vented foam mount.
    Keypower DC-DC KP-DX 250H ATX 250W.
    Delvcam 5.6" TFT LCD Monitor.
    Old headunit (ripped out tape mechanism added audio inputs on back).
    X10 RF mouseremote.

    Compaq 4X SCSI CDROM

    Unoptimized boot time: about 1:15
    When I get around to it, I'll take it out of my car and optimize the kernel and hopefully get it < 1 min.
