it looks fine
This drive is really cheap: http://www.dvcentury.com/Merchant2/m...e=DVDROMDRIVES
Any reason not to go for it? I can't afford slot loading drives.
I ordered that same drive around the end of April and had to return it because it did not work. I have yet to receive a new drive from DVCentury and would not recommend dealing with them.

Thanks for the heads up I||1. Guess I'll look elsewhere. Are there any brands that are known to have better shock absorption?
I bought that same drive off of them, and it works fine. In fact, it's installed in my CarPC right now. It's a good deal if you ask me.

I have a toshiba dvd/cd-rw laptop drive in my system and it works great. Got it from toshiba themselves for real cheap. You need an adapter for like 8bux to make iot work.
