    Pioneer IP BUS hacks

I know there is a way to make your own RCA inputs for the Pioneer, that connects to the IPBUS. There was info on this a while ago but the pictures arn't showing. Can some one please help with diagrams or instruction on how on connect it up.
I have made one but, it seems to only come out on the left speaker. I have a pin layout of the IPBUS but doesn't seem to be the right one.
    Any help would be great

Yea but if you want to make life easier, attach your grounds somewhere else besides the little pins. I did this mod on my brother's truck for his I-Pod, sounds great.

Thanks for the pic sinorm. Pudge did have you got a wiring diagram of what you did for your brother, because I want to wire my IPOD into my car.

The easiest way to connect to those pins is using old computer cables of one type or another. The connectors for the CD-ROM audio in your computer, or any other connector that attaches to a small pin. If you look at one of those cables, you can remove the pins from the plastic housing and then just use those connectors to attach to the IP-Bus pins.

You can attach the ground to anywhere, doesn't matter if its on the IP-Bus or not.

Yea Sinorm's got it. You can use like power switch wired jumpers, just anything. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...0&postcount=38 you only need the right side really, just a pin diagram of the bus. Basically buy some sort of connector like 2 female RCA's to a male 1/4 inch. Cut off the 1/4 inch jack. Ok now you'll have 2 strands of wire. Each one has exposed copper wire and a white ground wire. Wrap the stray copper wires to one of the +'s for pins 9 or 7. Then do the same with the ground, either 10 or 11, then do the opposite. Just make sure you group R/L together. Ok so now you have the female RCA's connected to the wired jumpers. Use like a sewing needle to wiggle out the metal negative pins on the wired jumpers. Tape the negatives to the top of your deck, and plug in the wired jumpers so the connectors line up with the appropriate pins. Remember, even though there's only 2 pins, you'll still want the big black plastic connectors so they don't wiggle out. Now plug in an 1/8th inch to 2 male RCA's into your ipod, and hook the R/L RCA's accordingly, and test it out. But wait, how do you turn on the AUX? Press and hold the setup button (I don't know which one it is, but press and hold a button when the radio is off until it takes you to a menu). Then, set it so the AUX IN is always on, then when you press Source on your HU, AUX will be one of the options. It's late so my post may be hard to understand, post back if you need more help.
