Opus connects to those pins to allow power on/off on ignition.
Buttons -> search for bulgin .. or visit any 'pc modders' site.
Ok, you know how motherboards have pins that you plug the power and reset switches from cases into? Well, if you use an Opus do you still need to have a power button or does the Opus automatically send on a turn on signal?
Lastly, where is a decent place to pick up power and reset switches along with leds and wires w/o buying an entire case?
Dude, $20 for a friggin button? That is outrageous. There has to be a cheaper alternative.

Those Anti Vandal switches from Bulgin are sweet, but as they are a specialist item, they are of course more expensive.
For standard (and cheaper) switches look somewhere like radio shack in the US or Maplin in the UK.
You could, of course, go to Auto Zone or somewhere and pick up a cheap push button switch for a few bucks. It, however, is not going to look nearly as good as what that switch does. Plus that switch would make for a good center of attention. So you may have to do without eating at McDonald's a few times to pay for it but think about long term affects instead of your wallet right now.Originally Posted by Mears

Well do any of these options come with the necessary pin headers? Every switch I've seen is just the switch itself and no wire + pin header included.
What if i want to to put that vandal switch inline with the wires comming out of the opus to the motherboard. Will this work?

My understanding is that the particular Blugin illuminated switch listed in the above link is a momentary switch. I want to use it to power up my Opus also but I don't think it is gonna to work because I think it needs to be a push button that would stay down (not momentary).Originally Posted by antimatter
Please correct me if i'm wrong. W/ that said, does anybody know where to get one iluminated w/ a ring like that but it is a stay down push button?
all ATX boards need a momentary button because that is how the power works - this solved the problem that AT boards had...

that's a good read. THanks for the link.Originally Posted by saikano
