I bought a keyboard from Newegg and it didn't say XP compatible (which is what i'm running, XP). The keyboard says windowns 98/2000 compatible. I'm assuming it will work but don't want to take it out of the box unless i know for sure. I'm hoping it's okay, cuz i really wanted to put this in my visor this weekend!!
It would be pretty safe to assume that it will work. After all, it is just a keyboard. However, you could always check the manufacturer's site for driver updates, but it should work w/o any issues...
i'm assuming it will too....although it does want me to install drivers, should I (the driver is for Windows 2000 professional). I don't care about the hot keys or anything like that, just to be able to type in letters and numbers.
It will work fine. If it has special functions on it, then you may need a special driver to make them work (got to the manufacturer's website to find it). If they don't have a driver that says it works with XP, most likely the win2k driver will work. If not, you just won't be able to use the special function keys, but the rest of the keyboad will work.
In theory, the 2kpro drivers should work, but I would check the manufacturer's site to be safe....Damn, eCar beat me to it :)
sweet...so it will do what i want....time to crack her open and start carefully dremeling.
