Yeah, some more images might help me out too. I've got the basic shape down, but I need to trim to fit flush. But here are some other pics from Rich's thread:

@Jedi
Post some good pictures of the back if you can. I've made a bezel too, but I want to see what Rich did...

The problem I'm having is shown well in the above pictures...
I am using a Xenarc and the buttons are attached to the main PCB. On the Lilliput (above?) the button board is separate. With the attached buttons on the Xenarc it is just a little to big to fit in the dash right. To work around this with the trim that I made I have mounted the PCB horizontally behind the dash. Maybe not the best setup.
I'm going to make v2.0 this month. I'm using some different parts this time so we'll see how it goes! I'd like to be able to attach the Xenarc's rear casing to keep the thing together, but this will be a challenge to figure out how to get it to fit behind the dash...
Heh, i ran into the same problem yesterday, but i think i found a way to work around it. Rich's bezel is pretty deep (at least 3/4 of an inch to an inch) at the bottom, and that's before you reach the screen. So I was just going to make the screen set back deeper in the dash so that it didn't have any problems fitting in with the e46 trim and the dash. The pictures above are a lilli, but i think Rich originally made it for Xenarcs, so they should work.

However, the headunit would have been nice to keep for the BMW assist or Bluetooth options. No big deal I guess.
Jackboot, you might just get your pics this weekend. I had to rip the dash off again. I am having trouble with th eXenarc sitting in Richs bezel. it slides down a bit exosing the back a bit. I tried tightening it down but I am afraid the screws will strip. I need to try something else. I dont think the back of the xenarc fits but I am going to try. there is plenty of room in the dash depth wise, just not sure about clearance around.Originally Posted by Jackboot
I just tried fitting the Xenarc's back onto the bezel that I made and it is too tall to fit in. It would work with some hacking with a dremel though...Originally Posted by jedi7001
On my V2.0 bezel I might design it on a bit of an angle so that the back of the Xenarc bezel can be used to keep the screen together...we'll see![]()
If this works, let me know. I want to get the Xenarc on as tight as possible. Nothing looks more ghetto then the Xenarc slipping out of place. I am a little disappointed with my $350 investment into this bexel and the Xenarc screw location are so fragile. I need to find a good way to attach the Xenarc to the bezel to make sure it stays in place and stays firm
Just ordered a bezel myself, and will be attempting to secure a Xenarc 700TSV on to it - what did you end up doing about the screen slipping out of place? Any pics? I'm a little worried about this.
I'm considering purchasing a bezel, but I am wondering what everyone is paying for theirs. I have one that is not that great but it is functional. I am considering taking a mold and starting from scratch... It doesn't seem that difficult (more patience than anything), but if I can purchase one that isn't too expensive, it makes more sense to do that..... so back to my question... what is the going rate for a 3er trim???Originally Posted by Hark
