DVD slim ....question

Hello, I was going to install a computer in my car, but I have one problem. I can't put the computer in the glove compartment and I have to put in the porter, but I'll like put the DVD slim in the glove compartment. I have and DVD slim-IDE adaptor, but I think that the solution isn't carry an IDE cable from porter to the glove compartment.

Do you know if exist an adapter for DVD slim to USB, Firewire or something similar ?

Could someone give me some ideas?

Slim DVD to IDE Adaptor -> IDE to USB Adaptor

That should work, and don't forget the power connector!

Thanks for your answer and thanks for the spanish, one more thing...when you speak about power connector I understand that is the standard connector for IDE devices... Is right?

Yep the standard power connector to supply power to the DVD drive.
