    Cool pioneer cd receiver

I know I have to get a receiver with a input in the back so I can hook it up to the computer but is preamp output the same thing? I'm looking at pioneer deh-3000 or 4000 and I think it said 2 sets of 4-volt preamp outputs. Are those the right kinds of outputs I need to connect it to my computer? Does the voltage play any part in making this decision? Oh one more thing, I heard someone saying something about RCA inputs. Are those some special kinds of inputs?
    thanks

I think you are mixed up.
INput is what goes IN to the stereo.
and Output is what goes OUT of the stereo.
(hence the word In and Out)

Get a Blaupunkt. They are uaslly the best for single-din with input;s. The sony's can be interfaced with a (hard to find) CD-RG10 or somethin to provide input

If you want use your receiver to play the mp3 you need to get a receiver with 2 sets of INPUTs. These inputs are usually called CD inputs, or auxiliary (aux) inputs. As you'll notice mostly all receivers that have inputs have RCA input type. This is not a problem, you only need a converter cable with two RCA male plugs in on side and a stereo P2 plug in the other. So you plug the P2 in the line out (not speaker) of your soundcard and the RCAs in the receiver.

I have the pioneer DEH-4000 and to get aux. inputs you simply need to purchase a aux. input module which plugs into your cd changer port in the back of the unit. Its simple and gives you two RCA inputs (R/L channel). I got mine at cruchfield for around $29.99, you must ask for it (its not in the cataloge or website.)
    Good luck,

CD-RB10 is the pioneer aux input module that does RCA -> Ip Bus and the CD-RB20 is the version with IPBus thru so you can have a CD changer too.
