It is possible to do that, does it have either usb or serial out to connnect to the carputer? If not, the touchscreen would not control the carputer.
With a VGA to RCA adapter you lose will clarity IMHO.
I currently have a CLARION VRX935VD 7" touchscreen installed in my nsx, and noticed that you can use the screen (aux video in) as a monitor for like a PS2 and EBOX.
Anyone hear of using a head unit that has touchscreen as the monitor? What would have to be done in order to use it as one of the aux input in the head unit? What if you were to use an adapter that goes from VGA to rca's like you can when you tranfer vga to a tv set.
This way i would still have my head unit for the radio, and in the aux use the carpter.Im preaty sure its possible, just not sure if the touchscreen would act properly with the computer like our carputer touchscreens do.
Just an idea...![]()
Any input?

I have an indash DVD/MP3 touchscreen and I tried it and as I figured it did not work. There is no connection to the computer from the touchscreen on the display that is installed in the headunit so no way for the signals from the touchscreen to get to the computer. Also, the video conversion looks like garbage.Originally Posted by thepogcbr900rr
