Ok, people asked, i finally have pics of the "behind the scenes" install

Tonight, I decided enough was enough with the rats nest of wires behind my beauty board and decided that I am going to rip everything out and do it right. Bought some distribution blocks, some 8 gauge wire and more importantly, I received my Carnetix CNX-P1260. I had actually received it July 15th, but just got time to put it in tonight. Thanks to Mike H for his prioritized order process and prompt shipping. Any way, I am not sure how many people have this power supply, but I cannot say how awesome this thing really is. The build is of an aluminum frame, it barely weighs anything. Its drilled to mount, the jumpers are easy to set... its so nice. The manual is VERY in-depth. So yeah now that I've raved about it, I will vouce that this thing lives up to its reputation. It survives crank! I run the PC, I shut my igntion off and my HIDs.. I turn the ignition back on and hit the HIDs, effectively NAILING the voltage through the car... and the computer remains untouched! Purely sick.

So I took the time to strap down each unit, mount the CNX, mount the inverter more securely, wire up the distribution blocks. The main 4G wire to the blocks is fused with 80A. Each line out from the block is fused (CNX 10A, Inverter 40A, Amp 40A, relay 10A) not to mention the fuse on each device. The grounds are short and concise. The only thing I have left to do is run my Lilliput direct to the CNX. I started this project at 8:30P and didn't finished until 2:00A. I rewired my MB Quart cross overs and made them all nice and tidy in the trunk also. In all, the CarPC installation is very nice now and very presentable (even though you cannot even tell it is in the car until I drop my rear armrest and move a piece of lexan). Uber thanks to the forum and specifically Nate from MP3 Car and Mike H from Carnetix for providing such good equipment. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. It's been a relatively bump-free ride during the entire CarPC process. I am running GPS, Cell Phone internet connection, lilliput, xbox networked... etc. Thanks again!

Nice looking setup...especially the little aluminum power supply

Out of curiosity, how do you run your video from the trunk to your screen in front? Have you built a cable?

Video from the trunk is simply RCA for the Alpine Screen and a VGA w/ extension to the Lilli. Xbox audio goes in "Aux In" on the Epia, and the audio out goes 1/8" -> RCA to Alpine.

Because I use the 120GB inside the Xbox because my media (dvd, divx, mp3) are all on it. That allows me to keep a relatively small (40GB) hard drive in the CarPC and I access the Xbox via cross-over cable Plus, I can play Xbox games from the hard drive
