If it is integrated into the players than people will flock to this item besides the fact that it is AM and RDS
I've been contacted by some major coders in this forum and the device support and integration is granted. (can't tell you more.....for now )
When we have prototypes we will send one in every developer (who is interested) for testing.

    Cheers

This thing is a nice tool for getting AM, FM, and SW and a bunch of other
    frequencies on your computer.

Maybe this is something you may want to look at? I'm unsure what the RDB
    stuff is- What is it?

What's the guesstimate to fabricate one of these if we were to do build it ourselves?

Nice unit. I-COM is one of the top telecom equipment manufacturers but hi-quality products come at a certain price. I can guess this one is somewhere at the $800-$1500 region. Plus no RDS (Radio Data System) decode/manipulation.

    Nice try though

I can't give an estimate on that. Depends on how you'll get your hands on the ic's (buy as samples from philips?) and if you'll design the component board yourself or buy it from us. If it is the latter....I can't tell you. We don't have a component board yet!!!
To give you an idea though we believe we'll be able to give away assembled units for aprox $60.

$60? That's not bad at all. Do you think it would be possible to get that sucker working with built in USB audio for $80? Sorry for beating a dead horse.

Do you mean digital audio through the USB? If so I can't, sorry. I've explained why a few posts ago.
