Can I connect 2 amps to the same speaker

Could not find anything regarding the subject.
I can't remove the HU (with built in AMP) due to the bus thing from GM, every thing will be disabled. So, the work around is to add a separate, secondary AMP for the carputer. question is, is it safe to connect the secondary AMP to the same speaker feed by the HU. I promise not to turn the HU on while the PC is on.

Well, I wouldn't test it if I were you. You could use some relays that will switch the source of the feed to the speakers. Then you are 100% safe. I do not know if they would add interference to the sound.

I agree, the relay is a much better idea. You might need to get a few of them, one DPDT for each speaker. If you get ones that have a 12v coil, then you could have them energize when the computer powers up. Run them off of a HDD power connector. Then when the computer is on, the relays switch the speakers to the computer. Turn off the computer and the relay switches back to the HU.
