Thats actually really easy, you just need a little bit of VB, and some relays - im working on something with a Basic stamp that will read tach / speed data / temp control / windows / doors .

gizmomkr can you give me a few more details on how you are going to be getting the data from the car ? I was thinking about doing something like that with a PIC microcontroller (same kind of thing used in the basic stamp) I have a cable so that I can connect the ODBII port t oa serial port on my computer but I think I want something self contained so I dont have to worry so much about BSOD killing my Tach/speed data.

Easy to do with VB, a DLL to access the port with, and the parallel port. See http://www.aaroncake.net/electronics/vblpt.htm and http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits for information.

Let's see.. IRman for winamp and movie controls, small keyboard in the glove box, and wireless mouse in the center compartment, just incase.
